12 yrs ago.....hmmm, I say......
Well, it took a lot of scrolling but I find that on 2/20/2013 I wrote a post about my mom's Border Collie, one I called Hellhound (with very good reason!). Thanks for the memory jogger; it was quite a trip down memory lane.

C C,
How very good it was in (g) olden age when you were young and the sweet older ones who were loved by one and all, here. Enjoyed the idea. A great way to remember them.🥃🪭🐣

Good Morning
Thanks for sharing the memories. They are so cool to read. I have to say lessons learned.

Re: Pat
I am not found of icy roads I did buy 56 pounds of sea salt to melt the ice but so far it has not been needed. It will kill weeds also. Yes the distant scent of ones partner. Those were the days.

Yes I know the feeling. I bet she would never flip a coin into a beggars hat. Although she may have taught you a trick or two. Now what would you offer me for my old de-mob suit? 😀

I have been taken by a few people who have pretended to have nothing. It made me think back to the millionaire landlord I rented from when I was nineteen. She dressed like a pauper but had a bank account large enough to support the town we lived in. I later learned that Mary was a smart woman and a good landlord who over time hired me on the side to clean her empty rentals. She bought the cheapest supplies for cleaning and renovations, paid a low wage, or sometimes none at all in exchange for a month's rent, ate homemade sandwiches, rode a bicycle, or walked around town in clothes that had seen better days. She showed me how to save money by being frugal and how to barter.

Dearest darling Whiley John, missed always never forgotten, not ever by me. He really loved you CCT, as we all do all these years.

Spring weather, changeable and sometimes dangerous here in 'tornado alley.' But days of scudding clouds, spotlights of sunshine, a pleasant nod from a daffodil are exactly the ones I'm looking forward to. Enough of snow, slick roads, icy sidewalks. I hope your memory brings up some happy days when you felt like dancing.
