I love reading how it was for you when you were young. Pretty much the same as in Australia. Some of the farms used an ice chest, Mum and Dad hung milk and meat in a tree until they had saved enough money to buy a kerosene Fridge.

I may have told this before. After the war ice creams became back. My Dad bought a large one we looked in amazement when Dad pealed back the strip at the end the ice cream was brown. We looked sadly as it melted on the pavement. Dad said it is probably bad.
Sniff, sniff. no one had told us there was such a thing as a coffee ice cream.🌺

Smart decision. It won't hit Pittsburgh until later today. I wish I could stay home, but we have an appointment to file our taxes and then we are off to work.
