.....LOL. Ribcage would get a big kick out of Beef Steak. He loved anything that you posted. He was not a computer man. He had beautiful handwriting and he always wrote by hand. That's why I posted a lot of his witty and humorous stuff on my posts.

Yes comments on comments takes me as long as writing a blog. I just don't do politics because we are bombarded enough with our own agony. Also I don't feel I have the privilege to comment on religion as each person usually has a set image defining their own beliefs. Sadly we are the only few Remainers. When I first came here 2009 I remember being welcomed by Kabu and Wiley I was a bit in awe of Taps as she posted a picture of her fighting a young man. I did grow quite fond of um ,um, Beef steak, no, no it always alludes me, but I guess he would not mind. Quite few wonderful characters have passed to their preferred destination and I still think of them. Sniff, Sniff.

My comment is that we all can use a little feedback. You are right; how can you grow without feedback. We all need some motivation, whether it is good or bad.

Re: Re: Thank you, TAPS. You are a real sweety
I post quite a few of my own photos, but for whatever reason, the owner of the Blogit website takes them down after a few days. I sometimes use internet photos that are not copyrighted and later post my own in their place.

And back at you! Thank you. I have learned so much from reading others’ posts, including yours. The world is vast and so abundant in its wonders. Each day is a gift, even the difficult days.

.....I had almost forgotten how cohesive this group used to be. It could be that way again. I do not and never have thought that it was having to pay a bit to join that was holding us bag and dragging us down.

Re: Sea-Gypsy.....
.....I always look for you when I come to Blogit and am disappointed if you are not here. You come up with some really good stuff and usually cannot think of anything to add as your posts see complete in themselves. Thank you for being faithful inspite of everything that happening.

Re: Pat.....
.....You are one of a kind. You do not seem to need comments or commenting to keep your brain going. You always have something interesting....something to think about....something different to share. Keep it up indefinitely. You inspire the rest of us.

Re: Kabu.....
.....The more we comment, and comment on comments we open our brains and thoughts thoughts about subjects we can turn into posts to keep our writing going. The reading of posts that we then move on and do not think about are soon forgotten. Expounding on such makes our brains keep going no matter how old we get.

Re: Sherri.....
......I always like the photos that you post and I always feel like they are ones that you have taken yourself. I used to take photos and I loved sharing them but the camera I used is gone by the wayside and the site I used for photos was fun to use. I just wanted you and everyone else to know that I was also complaining about myself about the copying photos and using them here. I have done that, and I don't like me doing it. I want to be an original.

I always attempt to comment, especially on bloggers who take the time to comment on my posts. As for photos, I normally find a photo similar to whatever it is that I am talking about, but the original photo can usually be found on my Facebook page.

I came back for another read and just love the comments you are getting. You have made me want to let my friends know I care about what they write as comments as well as their post. I guess I had forgotten about that.

I sometimes respond to comments others pasted and often enjoy the comments others reply to them. Especially here on Blogit.

And a comment you shall get! I do love this post because not only of its content but because of the passion and verve with which it is written. By all means, people write posts to say something, or at least that is the idea. They hope for clicks or comments in return. The minute a person’s “write” fluffs a feather or two it or the writer is ignored. We can all do the Walt Disney version of comments or maybe we can be real without being insulting. It takes a bit of effort and caring about each person more than ourselves to do so. The truth is, most creative people are sensitive. And who wants to hurt someone? Then too, some of us will take the time, if we have the time, to comment and comment on comments more so than others. It’s a tit-for-tat world in Blogitsville. If one shines or whines - it’s all good as long as we can be respectful. Have we all become so PC that we have lost sense of self? For me, at this time in my life, I have little extra time, but I do try to make time to try to be engaging and comment or comment on comments often as I can. 🌹

As I have lately been going through some of my older blogs, I felt the same: We used to have actual friendly (or not) and thoughtful conversations here in Blogitland. Readers and writers engaged more, and community was stronger.

Oh yes not all of the comments on Comments were nasty either. Sometimes they were intellectual or philosophical and sometimes they were really funny. Some days we would be writing in someone else's comment about how we felt about all sorts of ideas and some we agreed with and some not so much. It kept me sane as I was struggling with retirement and a brutal marriage.
