I love them, so majestic and part of nature's balance, But not in my yard thankyou. Last year once came flying in low and nearly got caught up in my broom. I saw it coming and was ready.

Sherri......

.....I was out getting exercise along the bluff one day and I noted one sitting in a tree eyeing me like he wondered if I would put up a fight.  His eyes followed me for quite a while and gave me the creeps.

I remember long ago a hawk (Mama called it a chicken hawk) flew over our place and set the hens to squawking and running in circles, wings outstretched over their chicks to protect them from the Darth Vader of the sky. They didn't understand that the pen in which they lived included a roof made of chicken wire, they were safe from that predator.
