You make me so glad I really wanted to become a registered nurse, apart from the love of the job and my inner need to be a help to people, I knew there was a job waiting for me when I finished my studies.

Good for her. I have found that a college degree doesn't always mean a person has more intelligence or a better job. Smart business deals and time on a job can lead to serious benefits and equal pay to co-workers who are college graduates. Military service is also a great option instead of college.
