I was just talking to my mother about living in the north in the Wintertime. When we first moved to Ohio from Alabama in the 1960s, we had several issues with the pipes. My mother now lives in Alabama, and it is even cold down south this year. She was talking about wrapping her pipes and, of course, keeping the faucet dripping. Her experience has taught her to prepare.

I always leave the outside tap dripping when frosty weather is forecast and leave the cupboard doors open under the sink. Of course we rarely get severe frosts these days as we appear to be in a slightly warmer session. Fairs were held on the River Thames in the old days And when I was young the idea of growing grape vines was only possible in heated greenhouses. Wrap up Warm.🌺

TAPS

What a way to learn that lesson! It must have been so stressful for you. No wonder you prepare to this day! Be safe and warm.
