Yes I see youngsters trance-like walking to work or whatever oblivious to the surroundings.
I suppose it is like how the cinema used to be in the old days.🌺

I feel sorry for the people whose whole life experience is so shallow, as thin as the crust of concrete and asphalt covering the natural land, as fragile and temporarily meaningful and rootless as much of modern life.Â

Re: Taps
Sometimes. Bunnies leave different samples from coyotes, and that left by mice disappears among the grasses and tree roots. But I don't remember seeing bear or cougar scat. Birds, of course, we all recognize.Â

Pat.....
.....You didn't mention scat in the woods. Could you identify scat per animal?

I have a love hate relationship with my cell phone and would miss it for quick information and messages BUT I don't always switch it on. I don't always have it with me. I used to ride my bike around the farm, looking for mushrooms but that was mainly an excuse. There were several places where there were a few trees for sheep to huddle under in the cold , sometimes there would be mushrooms to pick for supper.

I will take the ambiance of the woods on any day over playing with my cell phone. I enjoy that type of alone time where all is peaceful and removed from the fast-paced craziness of the world surrounding the sounds of nature.
