Seems to me, the point is they don't want us to be able to tell true from fake, nor to trust anything from any source. That's worked so well for them so far! Aldous Huxley saw it coming, warned us, and not enough of us listened or believed.

Yes....
.....All that fake stuff is ridiculous and depressing. There ought to be some way to put the fake stuff in the Fiction Part of the place and keep them separated so you always know what is real, historical, etc.
