Just loving this entry post. I have had to learn the difficult way not to eat one bite more than I need. My stomach has become, most of it, a hernia that has slipped down behind my diaphragm. There is just a small section still working. An operation at my age would mean living on fluids only. I don't want to do that. So I have adapted.

I know of a someone who is twenty plus stone . I knew a man who once told me that he ate his lunch for breakfast and then searched the fields for a swede or a turnip. My mother told me that they ate leaves from hawthorn trees and nicked cattle beans if they had the chance. One extreme to the other. I suppose we are tempted to think that food is Heaven. Well it might help one to get there sooner.
