I do exercises on my bed I also wiggle my toes a lot which keeps blood flowing to my feet. Sometimes on the bed a bi fat cat will come and sit on my stomach and then I can't do anything.

Re: Ciel.....
.......One has to be creative in their movements when they are past their prime. When I've had to do strange things to get up off of the ground outside or the floor, I've always hoped no one was watching. LOL

I get up from my comfy chair without hands on the chair, but often with dishes, glassware, or mugs in my hands extended to create just enough forward balance!
Once when I fell, I had to roll over, sit up, and scooch to the top of the stairs to get my legs lower than my backside, and used the rail to get back on my feet!

Good for you. Any movement is better than none at all. I also do the top-center exercise. It helped to slim my outer thighs and belly after I gained extra weight during my second pregnancy. When it is warm, John and I still take long walks along one of our many trails. My great aunt Edith who lived to be 96 once told me that if you don't use it, you lose it. She also felt strongly about having a daily purpose. She was a smart lady. Enjoy your day.

It is tricky to do that without one's hands, I would imagine.

If I got down on the floor I'd have to have the EMT's standing by to lift me to my feet again. It's embarrassing when that happens, especially if you've been using a big baggy sweatshirt as a nightgown... Good on you for staying in shape. I'm trying to walk more and just be up and doing but still catch myself sitting too much. I totally agree with your "isn't that what hands are for?" comment. Gives my arms a bit of a workout, hoisting all this weight out of a chair...

Good thinking we have stairs so up and down I go slowly. I also have a peddling machine and my tread mill went crazy so I walk at least 10 minutes up and down and try to balance on one leg, that is tricky, I have to be careful not to fall over. I suspect I can just about get up of the floor if can grab a chair leg or something to get a grip of. Of course I do a bit of gardening if it is not raining. Keep up the good work.🌺
