I was never ever allowed bubblegum s a kid or growing up; or chewing gum so never really got to enjoy ...except an elicit treat by myself once in a blue moon.

I loved chomping on sweet pink gum when I was younger. Blowing huge bubbles was the next best part. I remember penny candy. My Poppop used to give me a quarter to get a small paper bag of my choice at our corner store. Today, I stick to Wrigley's Doublemint gum. Thanks for the delightful memory. Have a wonderful day.

During the war if we had a chance we would chew a lump of pitch. I remember snicking a bit off of a gas pipe they had been mended it was in a hole in the road and had not been filled in. Eek! 🌺

Pat......
.....In my teen years a Dentist put the fear of God into me about chewing any kind of gum at all saying that it would make me toothless at an early age. So I stopped cold turkey. But when I was grade-school age my sister and I always had bubble gum and bubble contests. But, I do not ever remember hearing the band "Fleers" We always had "Double'Bubble".
