Sometimes you can buy a Turkey breast which would probably be enough Turkey. They are expensive.

Re: Pat

No I would not fancy a home reared one it seems a bit barbaric.

I expect if we were starving it would be a different ball game.

One did what one had to in those days.🌺

Re: CCT....Taps

Years ago when we had the travelling shop we collected rabbit skins as many as 70 0r 80

as we passed through a village. The women made gloves from them after they had been treated. White skins were not sought after. Some folk thought they should fetch more money. The last rabbit we had put us off it had white milky bits in the flesh, Although probably it was in Kindle. Of course the Mitsie disease finished the poor old rabbits off.🌺

Re: Sherri

Wow! that is a bargain I reckon they will be pushing one hundred pounds for a big one here. Probably the food for them is much cheaper in U.S.A. 🦋

I imagine that fans taking souvenirs from establishments can be quite costly over time for the owner. I guess it is a casualty of having a business with intriguing objects that are too good to pass up for the sake of memory. As for the price of turkeys, our local Giant Eagle is giving them away for free after the customer has purchased $300.00 in groceries. Sarcastic smile

CCT....

......I've never seen a rabbit in a tin around here.   When I was a child we had a rabbit hutch and big white rabbits for helping to feed our big family.   Except, I really didn't realize that's what we were eating and I wondered why some were disappearing.

Somehow, I never grew too fond of the taste of rabbit, although we did raise some for food when I was a girl. Since Mama had to butcher the poultry or rabbits we raised, our meat was always very fresh - but it gave me the creeps to have to help de-feather the carcass.
