I always make my bed....but in the daytime, it still calls to me, also My reclining chair....And I don't need blinders to keep the sun out my eyes. When night time comes I'm ready to rock. It was always a bone of contention between my husband and I. He expected me to go to bed at 10:00 pm and rise at 6:00 a.m.

.....That is certainly something we have in common. I have been so all of my life. That is why that the years I was a nurse that much preferred the late evening and night nurse for my working hours. I can sleep hours and hours in the daytime at the drop of a hat....but at night if I am in bed I stare at the ceiling or out the window at the moon.

A warm cozy bed is the best thing in winters. But I sleep during the day I can't sleep well during the night.

I was just thinking today, pulling the bedclothes up, that leaving the bed unmade, it is a constant little whisper of an invitation to come back to bed, to coziness and gentle dreamings. I made it anyway.

I have never been a fan of winter. I could easily sleep until spring if people would allow me to. 🐻

Perhaps you have nailed it but I try not to sleep in the day as I find it is then not so easy to sleep soundly at night. Although I could sleep. No was going to say a rude joke. If you were not a lady I might have been tempted. 😊🌺

The change of seasons knocked me for a loop because we've gone from summer to winter with no fall in between.

I'm sure you've earned your rest after a career as a night nurse. And this dark November weather doesn't make it any easier to stay alert all day. You're OK!
