In my view, a cup of coffee in the morning is a medicine of a sort - it keeps me focused when I just want to roll over and go back to sleep. Thank you for this post, it's full of such a number of ideas and moods I had to read it over a second time.

Alas I am not a Clergy-man. Having carved my families initials into the pillar of the local Church. I noticed recently that they had been filled in with a white paste. It stands to reason if God did not mind it was a bit of a liberty, I shall complain at a suitable time.

I am guessing that having the brain in the knee joint would not be as bad as having it in the butt, such as the case of a few people I know. I agree with Kabu - we can't take it with us, and no use living a long time if we cannot enjoy the time we live. Drink that coffee!!

and My reply to all this is two things. One small bottle of wine a day is a strict limit. You do yourself no good by NOT having that one a day and then doubling up on the next. And as for coffee being too expensive, are you going to take your money with you into the next world? We have one delicious cup of coffee each morning, just the one and have no intentions of giving it up and to hell and back with the price!
