I am afraid the poor staff will rely on better tips now the government has increased the stamp duty.

Afraid Jim tips generously and I agree with him. I was a waitress in an all night cafe and later owned coffee shops. It is tough mostly thank less work. In Australia we pay a decent wage to all workers I am proud to say. And I am proud of Jim. Of course it is all up to the individual and I am not pointing a finger at any one person, but it does disgust me that people aren't deemed important enough for employers to pay them a decent livable wage.

That is how I am, too. I remember during COVID there was a local concert hall that was shut longer than they could have been on account of the rules. They told us to tip the bartenders higher on Facebook. I wrote, "You should have opened up when you could have."
