- Go to Thinking about the good old days this morning
We had the wireless and then came the smaller radio for news and keeping current with the World. Mail had to be collected from the local town; 8 miles away so that happened about twice a week when someone was going into town. News Reels at the movies was also a pleasant way to see some national news and events.

I know a few people right now who are looking at the world you describe and thinking, homesteading in a wilderness could be the sanest thing right now.

The good old days are some of my favorite times. You have taken me back to my grandparent's farm during the 1960s.
Enjoy your day.

Pat.....
Those were hard working days for my Mom & Dad. They did it without complaint, and looking back I regret that I didn't help out as much as I should have. I had a habit of running off and having fun.
