Schools would be wise to teach students financial and social skills. Home economics was my favorite class from seventh through tenth grade. It taught me the fundamentals of measuring, baking, and what certain ingredients do to enhance a recipe. 🥘

Well, it is better to be young and poor. and old and comfortable. Of course it is better still to be well off when young. Why? Because money loses value and what you buy when you are young will cost you more eventually. Well in theory.

I am not good with finance dear FSI but I am cunning. When times got difficult over the years, I just stopped spending. I would add the groceries up as I put them into my cart so I had enough money for what we needed not what we wanted and could pay at the checkout. I always included a small treat for my boys. I felt that was necessary.
