It is a fact one has to be known i.e. Lady Godiva. A television personality etc. If one writes for a profit. Although it is good therapy and rather exciting to see one's book published and pricey. I once wrote about a village and all the characters it was when looked after my Mother who had dementia. I became kind of fond of the characters, probably because I was living in an unreal world. Good luck though whatever you decide to do.

AI is truly touching everything these days. I cannot say I am a fan of it.

You’re right about the editors cutting and AI taking its toll on writers but there is still room, I hope, for people to pen a tale or two. Well, not PEN literally. Yes, I’d like to write something  of substance myself. Maybe I could just write something and it wouldn’t even have to be of substance… Hah! You will write something very good. I too like the stream of consciousness approach.

I remember I used to write everything in longhand and I could write a poem

Ina few minutes and then look at it and wonder who wrote that.

Yes, I remember those days.....

....I always had a desire to write but pounding away on a typewriter and it's limitations was a bit daunting to me hour upon hour.  By the time the fun computers came along I was past my prime and only interested in writing very small bits here and there.
