It sounds as though she has nerve damage. One medical term for it that I found describes it as meralgia paresthetica. The burning pain is due to a large compressed nerve. Hope this helps.Burning legs: Causes and when to see a doctor  Thumbs up

Re: Kabu

You see Dear, not many an stand someone being depressed, crying is sometimes O.K. as long as it does not overtake one. Now My S.I.L suffers quite a lot of pain legs ankles etc.

She is laid back and never complains. Do you know some services charge £70 per hour for care. She has three half an hour's a day so work that out for a week. A distance relative we paying 4 thousand pounds a week for his wife and himself, she had dementia. Of course if one has no money it means the council home which are not too bad locally.

Re: Ciel

Thank you Ciel the doctors do not have a clue. That is if if one can get to speak to one.

Once they would have driven out to look at a patient. Happy days. 🦋

I also thought of sciatica for the leg pain.

The foot pain could be gout which may start out as a pain in the foot that goes away after a day or so but recurs particularly when purine-rich foods are eaten, and gets more intense and debilitating over time. If it's that, there is a simple pill--it's called allopurinol over here--that corrects the problem the body has with metabolizing the purines.

Internet searching can be very helpful, even for doctors.

Wishing them both easy resolutions to both problems.

Good Morning

I wonder if the weather could play a part in her aches and pains.  They call it atmospheric pressure.  I'm saying prayers for her.  I hope she calls her doctor.

No clue from here about what's going on with the leg pains. I hope it's a transient event that disappears soon and she's comfortable again.  I always get anxious and blue during Christmas - I guess it's because I miss those days when my children were tykes and it was such a joyful time for them. I'd just as soon skip over to the New Years' Eve celebration and welcome the new year with hope that 2025 will bring peace.

Oh dear love, could it be sciatica? If it is she should lie on her tummy and stretch her legs out gently. Perhaps it would be easier for her to lie on the bed or a couch. Painkillers over the counter ones take a couple going to sleep should help.
