My first two guesses are a meteor or a comet. My next guess is something from another realm. Regardless, it is very cool.

Sea Gypsy, this is certainly a mystery. I hope the powers that be share what it was. I'm sure many people saw it and I think if they don't tell everyone what it was then it can't be good. I like to know what is going on around me.
