Amazing how quickly things change. It was an experience one would never see again.
We would trek miles and never see a soul, rivers ran clear and fish swam in shoals.
You know the rest.🌺

Good Evening
We've had reports of coyotes on our road and they are telling us to watch our small dogs. I'm glad Sadie is safe in the house with us. Â

What an idyllic place to be growing up, feeling free finding nature in all her beauty and danger. One learns to appreciate other creatures have a right to life too and we learn wisdom in how not to disturb them. Not so much where I grew up ..really only snakes which leave you alone if you leave them alone.

I'd love to see a wild cat in it's proper habitat, and rumor has it that there are sometimes cougars spotted near here in Palmer Park. But then there is that thing about 'ambush predators' that suggests we might not see them before they see us! Good notion, to watch for cougars and drop-bears in the trees!
