I’ve never tried blackberry whiskey but it sounds good enough. It’s getting chilly here too. Will have to see if the heater still works soon.

I won't say I have given up alcohol but I only take a few sips if I do have some. My stomach won't handle it now with this oversized hernia. I never was a big drinker, a one glass wonder, that was me.

The last alcoholic drink I had was a shot of Bushmills - an after-funeral Godspeed toast to my friend and former husband after his passing in 2012. Seems to me alcohol consumption damages brain cells and makes people stupid.

Once it was all the rage here to make sloe gin. I don't drink spirits but I have a drop of Merlo occasionally. My brother started making brussel sprout wine once. He had to discard it the fumes were awful.

It's chilly in Pittsburgh today, which is crazy since it was so warm yesterday. My brother drinks Crown Royal in cocktails, but I'm not sure he has ever tried the blackberry whiskey. I'm not a whiskey drinker, but the blackberry sounds delicious. John and I are putting in our orders today for the food we will serve at our party in a few weeks. It is getting down to the wire now, so I need to be on my game. Stay warm and enjoy your day. I plan to make a pot of John's favorite hamburger vegetable soup.

I have never consumed whiskey in my life. That flavor does sound intriguing.
