Good Morning
FSI, I can see your Dad being someone interested in Weightlifting. I can understand your dilemma and I'm glad you put your foot down! Weightlifting is not for everyone.

A few years ago I could lift half a hundred weight with one finger. I expect it would not move much off the ground now.OWW!

It's not for everyone. For some it's great but if it's not your thing, then it's too bad Dad didn't let it go for you.

I think it is a very difficult competitive sport; having said that it is an Olympic sport that I enjoy watching if i can and I bought tickets to go and see them lifting weights in the Sydney Olympics in 2000. But I would never have tried it myself.

Good afternoon
Weightlifting is not my forte either. A five-pound weight in each hand is about all I can handle. He has a weight room with various weights lying around. I can barely move them when I vacuum. My hubby benches 180, and if he takes a break for a week or two, he is back to 160. A few of the guys he works with lift 230 to 250.
