I loved watching Red Skelton on tv. He canceled his show because he didn't like the direction tv was going.
He was part of our homecoming celebrations in Springfield at what was SMSU at the time. The editor of the school news decided to denounce his appearance stating that it was more for the older generations than it was for the college population.
Red heard about it (maybe even read it). He formally apologized at his performance. How sad that the editor denounced his upcoming performance. It was a sell out crowd to people of all ages. The entire auditorium roared with laughter with each new skit. People waited in line to get his autograph. I got it but someone stole it!
Kudos to Red. He was one class act on tv and in person.

Yes I guess most of us are pretty fed up with news where ever we are especially
the poor old aged pensioners who will lose their Winter fuel allowance.🌺
