Re: Good Morning Goldiec🌺

Perhaps we are not used to peppers as we used to find like tomatoes that it was difficult to grow them outside, I still grow them in the greenhouse some are supposed to be yellow, but only red ones at present. Thank you we do have Spanish rice at times.

Re: Pat

Goodness Pat that sure sounds great I must suggest it to the chef.

It seems a shame to grow them and then give them all away.🌺

Re: Good morning

I wondered how to cook peppers last year they were so hot that I pulled all the plants up. This year I made sure they were suitable for a kiddie's lunch box. I can't follow your fine example, but I will try something to stuff in them. 🦋🦋

Good morning

I'm sorry to hear about your dryer. I have a good dryer and I still dry my clothes outside on the laundry rack. Clothes and garments have a longer life when not cooked to death in a heated dryer. I blanch my red peppers for two minutes in boiling water, then I stuff them with ground Italian sausage and herbs and serve them with marinara sauce, parmesan cheese, and cheesy toast. Regular smile

When I had to get rid of my washer, the company that delivered my new one took it. Very convenient.

Chopped red bell peppers with onions scrambled with ground beef and a bit of ketchup make a great basis for a soup. I like diced potato in it, but some folks avoid the starch (or what they call carbs these days). To make a more generalized veggie soup, I sometimes add a 12 oz. pkg of frozen mixed vegetables, which includes carrots, corn, green beans and peas.  Makes a big pot of soup, enough to freeze half of it for future use.

Good Morning

I wanted to tell you that red peppers here in the States are more expensive than green peppers.  I'm not sure why but that is a fact.

Good Morning

Oh my!  You have had a morning.  I think it just might be time to get a new washer.  It will make life easier for you.  I love red peppers and you can use some in almost any recipe.  I make a Spanish rice recipe and put green and red peppers in it.  It's delicious made with spices.  I hope you have a good week.
