One has to show a bit of the old stick at times or one would be steamrolled.🌺

I imagine you were irritated “up to here“ as my mom would say. I would have been. Did you remind them you are a (former) nurse and are well aware of what you need and don’t need, thank you very much anyway… Heck, you might end up having to save one of them! That would be a taste of poetic justice applied nicely.Â

They can't "make" you do things you really don't want to. Wiley's sister ended having to live in somewhere similar and was told they had to see her around. She found a quiet room, bought some large jigsaw puzzles and sat there doing those. They could see her but she wasn't socializing! Some of us need alone time.

Re: Pat_b
.....Thanks. I should have had that advice before I went to the meeting. I was holed up in a small crowded office for an hour and a half.... trying to get across that I don't need or want any kind of help.

Use your angel voice, Taps. Give 'em the "wouldn't harm a fly" face. And if they ask you to do something you feel isn't right, just smile and say, "I'll have to get back to you on that, thank you for your concern." This is corporate-speak for 'ain't never gonna happen."

Good morning
Give 'em' Hell, TAPS! My granny lived to be 96 and didn't rely on anyone even though her husband died fairly young. She never remarried and remained in the home that my great-grandfather bought decades before.
