Good morning
Despite not taking your teacher's advice, you have done quite well. A full scholarship is a blessing indeed. Because of scholarships, my much younger brother Dennis earned a Bachelor's degree. From there, he joined the Air Force and then the Navy, and furthered his education, earning a Master's degree. Today, he is an officer in the Navy Reserves and has a career as a registered dietician for the government. He served as the assistant to the 20th US Surgeon General Dr. Jerome Adams. He has considered getting his PhD but is burning the candle at both ends, so he is tired from the many years of schooling.

Your survival instinct had reared it head, rightfully, causing you to want to leave a place with no opportunities. How nice it would have been to have had guidance about college attendance for yourself but you did very well with the the path(s) you chose. I salute you.

The path chosen is the best path--because it's the one chosen.

even though I never had a teacher I really connected with, I agree with you dear Pat. Education is all important the way to keep a nation growing and thriving.
