Thank you for your explanation. I think I understand your dilemma since I share a similar one. Do we sacrifice integrity to tell a great story - or do we - not! One’s character may be at stake, as well as the direction of our moral compass. But the desire to tell that particularly great tale persists. The challenge perhaps is to use one’s gifts as God intended, but how? Not always an easy path to tread. 🌹

......My dilemma is that this would be a very intriguing and compelling story, but..... Every time I consider going back to it, I find that it is the same old problem and I can't get around it. I cannot write the story without getting personal with it, and I cannot write it without putting someone in a bad light. I should not have gone back to it as I am not willing to do that. Your comment is point on.

I read this post three times in the hope of deciding if I thought that your fun story to write was meant to be or not to be. You could be like J D Salinger and write it and keep it or destroy it - or you could not write it - or you could change it but then it wouldn’t be the same. It is ultimately your decision and you have many beautiful writings - all worthy of publishing.

You have so many stories here on Blogit from years ago and poetry really beautiful poetry. Why not go through all that Pick out the ones that you love the most both stories and poems and it will sell for sure. It is almost impossible to make any money but you don't know until you try!

You should go with your gut and write what you feel will appeal to your readers. Some words are better left unprinted. Whatever you decide to write about, I know it will be amazing.

Taps do it in Winter it will keep you warm. Once when I looked after my Mother for 7 years ,.she had dementia. I wrote a book just for myself it had characters that moved along.
I suppose I built a little community that were just normal people and I was immersed in their activities. Of course I left school at 14 and help my father on a travelling shop. I did try and learn correct English from various little books, but never dreamed of such assistance that is prompted by Grammarly, etc.
