Re: C_C_T, I can't evn imagine noise from a factory all day long.
At least the trains and fire whistles give us a break. As for moving, we just bought the house last July after living in it for nine years. Like you said, the brain can get used to anything.

I suppose the brain can get used to anything after a while. Years ago there was a factory quite near and when the doors were open in Summer the noise was terrific. Large looms were spinning blankets it hurt to go near and yet the workers talked to each other over the noise. Perhaps if you move you will discover silence.

Reading this reminds me of the movie My Cousin Vinnie. Joe Pesci's character found it tough to find sleep in the Alabama town he was at due to the different sounds.
