Re: Kabu - Thank You!
What a beautiful tree that must have been. One has to respect something that old. The driver didn’t seem to care, did he? I think the world’s oldest olive tree is in Greece.

Re: CCT - Thank you.
Yes, can you just imagine all it has seen since 1092? What a tale it could tell!

Sherri - Thank you.
I also appreciate olive products- especially olives! I eat them often. There are olive trees here that do not produce olives. They are good for landscaping. Some olive trees are messy when the fruit drops.

TAPS - Thank you.
Yes, it is said to still produce olives. It was dated as being from 1092. I understand there are much older ones in Greece.

Brings tears to my eyes. Was driving around the Greek isle of Corfu and a tree similar age was protected and the road had been moved to ensure its safety. My driver complained and I told him when you get that great age they will respect you as well. He mumbles that he wouldn't get that old. Exactly I ended the conversation with.

Just to think what it has witnessed or endured weather wise.
I think it deserves the protecting fence around.🦋🦋

Good morning
Ooh, an olive tree, and a very cool one. I have never seen an olive tree before, but I sure do appreciate the product the tree grows. We go through gallons of olive oil a year, and I add olives to our pizza and pasta salad.
Thanks for sharing.

Good Morning
Sea Gypsy, this is amazing! I wonder when this tree was first planted if it knew how strong and wise it would become as the years went by and now it's the oldest tree in the Garden.
