- Go to With A Severe Thunderstorm Watch In Effect...
I used to be able just to out and sit on my gallery to have to full effect of quiet forest. Unfortunately others are moving in, families with young lads owning loud cars or motorbikes, screaming younger children, and lots of barking dogs. Sigh.

Good Morning
I love this post. I think memories of fun times are healthy for the soul. I love walking in the woods but my knee slows me down. I hope you have a wonderful day.

One has to learn how to go with the flow. I suppose we all would like to do some of the things that we use to do and think nothing of it. I don't like rabbit stew any longer.🌺🌺

Walking in the woods is a joy for me...I can see why you have decided not to anymore.

Re: Pat.....
.....No one believes that I choose to have just a landline and a laptop. The laptop is too cumbersome for a walk in the woods. I've never been much of a phone person. I love being "alone" in nature. I'm not afraid to go walking as is, but such a thing worries certain loved ones so I rely on photos on Facebook beautiful photos and my wonderful and vivid memories.

Good afternoon
I understand your love of the woods. It is the perfect place for quiet calm. Of course, eating a meal with like-minded souls can be fun. I am crossing my fingers that your thunderstorm heads northeast to my neck of the woods where rain is desperately needed.

You could still safely hike in the woods if you take your cell phone with you. If it's an Apple I-Phone there's a "find my friend" app that can pinpoint your location, should you trip over a root or get stuck somewhere. Perhaps you can find a walking buddy in your building who knows how to hike without yammering and just absorb the peace and quiet. I remember well the chapel feeling of being out in the woods as a kid.
