There used to be a flock of tame pigeons here eventually they were removed I suppose they did foul the pavements. I have a couple of wilds ones they are as fat as little porkers.

Before telephones, telegraph and long before the internet, carrier pigeons were used to send messages (I think it was a military thing). The sender would take the pigeon far away from its home base, tie the message to its leg from that distant spot, and release it to fly away home again, where the person to receive the brief dispatch would be waiting...

People in Australia have called them flying rats as long as I can remember, I like pigeons myself, I like virtually all nature.

I look at pigeons as fascinating. They seem to be everywhere, and I enjoy watching their rapid movements.
