My daughters have cats, and I have to take an allergy pill after visiting their homes, so I just might be allergic to cats as well.

pity you can't have a cat. There were mice here before me and mr Graysome. All new plumbing helped as did new flooring but Graysome quickly killed off the last couple.

I would think a mouse trap the simple kind baited with a smidgen of cheese. One should also tie a piece of string to the trap and tie it to something, this is a precautionary measure it enables one to retrieve if unfortunately the mouse is caught and not killed instantly. Not likely but but one does not like to see suffering. Of course watch Sadie.
