It is rare where I'm at to see hunks of junks...Traffic has created a lot of challenges. I do believe we will figure it out.

Our car is old. A 19-94 Mercedes convertible baby girl in bright red. We both had an inkling for a little red Sports car we just had to have it. I don't drive in this country so Jim loves his car.She has had to have a lot of work done so we have paid double the price for her but never mind. The smile on Jim's face as he brooms off ahead of other cars at the lights is worth a fortune to me.

Oh yes, Driving....
Driving in 1955 was fun....no bucket seats, no seat belts, and the driver always drove with one arm around his girl, often in a convertible. I gave up driving about four years ago when I had out-lived another car and gave it up after a couple of times other unhappy drivers called out....."Come on Grandma!!!"

Re: Good morning
I cannot remember the make of my first car it had been standing in an old garage throughout the war. It was heavy and fumes occasionally leaked up from the exhaust system.. The petrol pump jammed until I was shown it needed oil. The next one a little Ford kept veering to the right. No cash to buy a decent one.

Good morning
Those were the days. I love those old muscle cars, or jalopies as you refer to them. I grew up next door to a guy who had two Chevy Chevelles that he kept cherried out. Back in 1981, I cruised around in my boyfriend's 1970 avocado-green Dodge Charger. It was jacked up with air shocks, and the loud 440 high-performance engine made it a winner in most drag races. It was a lot of car for a 17-year-old, and it received plenty of attention from the girls, myself included. He would cruise the two main downtown strips in Klamath Falls, Oregon, the hangout spot for the teeny boppers who wanted to show off their cars. I knew when I spotted the car that I had to get behind the wheel of that green beast. Sadly, the relationship and the car didn't last long.
