I used to believe my growing up was normal; parents who loved each other and their two daughters and who didn't spoil us over discipline so we grew up respecting our elders and society's rules; but at the same time encased us in a loving atmosphere. We had every chance to  grow into family oriented and caring adults.

                    Good morning

Rainbows and the right song can have that effect on people. It is wonderful that you found something to move you positively at a young age. I know many people who experienced childhood traumas such as yours, myself and my husband included. I always wondered why I was so obsessed with watching the Brady Bunch when I was 13. Later, as a young adult, I processed in my mind after watching reruns of the show that it was the childhood fantasy that I once dreamed of, but never had as a child in the house where I grew up. Maybe that is why I raised my daughters in a Brady Bunch-type setting. It's great that you have a support system with a wife who loves you unconditionally and who listens to you. 🌈
