- Go to Summer today!
Re: CCT,
No doves on the deck since Pixiechonk arrived: she would never leave them in peace! So now, I think, they're nesting in the big blue spruce tree about 20 feet from the deck. I do hear their 'come-hither' cooings every now and again.
In the heat of summer back when I lived in the woods of Washington State--where summers are dry and hot despite the rumors of endless Northwest rains--when I'd go out to water with the sprayer hose, little birds would come diving through the shower! It made it a lot more interesting!

I wonder if the doves have returned? I now must water the garden for an hour or so.
It is a bit boring but necessary. Take care driving.🌺

Re: Kabu,
I'll get a packet or two of seeds at the grocery store. They're easy to find, and I will be looking for the sky-blue and dark pink ones. Probably also nasturtiums... or as Winnie the Pooh called them, 'nastershalums.'

Re: Pat_B,
One thing I really appreciate about Garden of the Gods is that it was bequeathed to Colorado Springs with the requirement that it always remain free to the public.

Enjoy your day. I've camped with my family maybe 50 years or so ago in those areas you mentioned. I could have stayed there 'forever.' I know the fires changed things, but I believe the name "Garden of the Gods" is still apt.
