I think there should be a real test when folk reach  certain age.

Although it is said the most accidents happen to young people .

I would not advise you to get a bicycle.🌺🌺

Good Evening

I totally agree with you. Now, I don't know why many young people drive as if they are playing a video game. I have been a witness to too many accidents. My father taught me that a car is as dangerous as a loaded gun. If you mistreat it. It can literally take your life.

So true about the drivers out there - and at any age it’s risky since so many people don’t seem to be able to follow the rules of the road or to know how to drive.

I started driving at 4 years of age, farm girl] and never stopped until I came here. to the USA. This place really scares me and so U am not going to drive or even hold a licence.

Pat....

....I'm so glad that you are careful out there.  I quit driving about two years ago because my vision was not all that good and because my reflexes were not so good, and because in the eyes of male drivers they would honk or yell out their windows "Come on Grandma, get going".  You never know when one of that kind has a gun and gets mad enough to use it.

It only takes a second's distraction to turn a pleasant drive into a life-changing accident. I was trained in "defensive driving," when I first got my license, and had refresher lessons after that. I'm very conscious of maintaining a safe distance from the vehicle in front of me, especially now that I'm older and my reaction time is slower. Makes me very nervous when some jerk tailgates me. I've noticed that the vehicle in my rearview at that time is often a blue GMC pickup.
