Everyone should enjoy a Summer romance at least once in their life so I like all that you have told us and how you have set the stage for your story to continue.  I may have started with, " I Finished my education at the beginning of that Summer and would be starting my teaching vocation in the fall. I was Happy and sad. Happy to move on with the next part of my life; sad because my heart was broken......"
