Happily, I have Charlie for the heavy lifting and things like putting up the reed fencing. It's so pleasant to sit out there in the comfy chair--yes, I have another comfy chair, soft and welcoming, and reclining if I want it to! And south of us tonight there is a big thunderhead flashing from time to time--probably over Pueblo, I'm guessing--that I have been watching from the rocker on the other end of the deck.

I will plant some morning glories soon, and by summer they'll be vining all over the railings. I'd like to get some sweet peas going too, but I have not had much luck with them. My grandmother grew them on the back yard fence in California, and I still love the scent of them!

Welcome back! Wow, have you ever been busy with all those deck-orations.  Makes me tired just thinking about all of it. But eventually it will be a nice place for a tinkling glass of iced tea.

                    Good evening

Welcome back! Summer yard and deck prep is both hard work and expensive. It sickens me when I think about the many potted plants I purchase each year in mid-May and how they will be dead by the beginning to mid-November, but at least they pretty up my yard for six months. Not too bad when I think of it that way. 🌺🌼🌹
