I agree with you wholeheartedly. I could do an entire blog for the rest of my life about the benefits of cash. For instance, so many people are burning themselves with interest and overdraft fees.

Even the barter system of old was like money. You handed over something the other person needed to get what you wanted. Why does everything have to change?

It is kind of unworldly to even think about eliminating cash. Is anything sacred? This is a very informative article. I agree it is not a smart decision.

We are told in the event of a power failure due to bad weather, hackers, or some other mess, to keep cash on hand in case there's no way to access debit/credit cards.  I think it would be one helluva mistake to eliminate cash.
