A really good teacher is....
....worth her (or his) weight in gold. My DIL is one of those. Recently she posted her teacher stats on Facebook and even though I knew them, to see it all posted the she did made me really appreciate all she has done.

They do create the World and I never thought of using those words before. Thank you. What a shame they continue to be undervalued and underpaid.

re: CCT
You're right, we were sad and worried about the war. We had rationing here but were taught it was nothing compared to the rationing in England. And I remember seeing newsreels about the blitz in London, as the Nazi's launched V1 and V2 rockets at the city, constant sirens and heading for the shelters. Sometimes the situation in Gaza/Israel reminds me of those desperate times. Be well.

Pat a lot of English girls were fascinated by the smartly dressed soldiers.
Sometimes expectations were rather A1. I suppose it was rather miserable
here at the time. How sad you must have all felt. 🌺

Good morning
Textbooks can only teach so much. Real-life living and information handed down from those who teach come with many more lessons than simply reading and taking tests.

Good Morning
Pat, teachers are very important and do make the world go round. My favorite teacher was Miss Kirby. She was my 5th grade teacher and because of her, I know how to do fractions. She was a wonderful teacher.
