Good morning

You had some interesting witnesses at your wedding. Prejudices are not as bad as they once were, but I still see them around my neck of the woods. I am not a fan of mixed marriages due to it breaking down the ethnic and regional DNA matches, but if that were the case, we would not have the lovely mix of backgrounds that you see in so many families. I have been reminded quite often that we were all once immigrants. Regular smile

Good morning

The views on your honeymoon trip are similar to those from my yard. We have a daily flow of barges that run up and down the Monongahela River non-stop.

Re: Pat

.....My nephew is getting married in May to a sweet girl from Sri Lanka and my other nephew is married to woman from Taiwan .   A lot of world travel these days and they have very unusual names for this area.  One is Upeksha and the other is....I can't even think of it now (too old me)

everything here is so interesting. Both Pat's Blog and the comments. I am on No 4 husband and I was sure when I married the father of my Sons it would be for life...but I can't live with a cheat, when a man prefers his mistress. That happened again with my second marriage, then came Wiley and Canada and finding and loving always the love of my life. Jim and I are great company and neither of us are having to live alone. We do love each other, sort of like brother and sister...sort of.

Re: Re: Goldiec

Pat, I was thinking about your marriage but I'm glad to know that Merle & Nina were happy together.   I'm glad that your marriage was good for a long time.  My kids had a friend that got married.  We all went to the wedding.  We didn't know that they were planning to divorce when they married.  They didn't want to call off the caterers and cancel the hall and everything else that goes into a wedding because their parents would have been upset after paying for everything.  They were divorced shortly afterwards and I can imagine how their families felt.  I'm not sure what they did with all the gifts.  It's such a crazy story and unfortunately, it's true.  The groom never married again and I don't know what happened to the bride.

Re: Goldiec

Are you wondering about Merle & Nina's marriage, or the one I began that day? If it was theirs, they lived happily together for as long as I knew them. Mine was good for many years but ended after 21.

Yes a pity we see color with a kind of prejudice. I have nothing to say only I find even in different parts of the country a problem to understand the telephone conversations. I must admit I rely mainly on text. I suspect they may not understand  Oxfordshire. Oh ah. 🌺

Good Morning

Pat, I'm wondering if the marriage was a good one?  I hope so!  Thanks for sharing a memory.
