I think a lot of books were banned. I once read one. Hot dames on cold slabs.'

Probably worse on tele. Depends who is in charge in government I suspect.🌺

I am sorry your experience was not fun. I bought a book in England and told it was banned in Australia . I took it back to aussie land anyway, hidden amongst mt undies. It was Canterbury Tales....and the stories were some of them quite crude but banning it seemed silly.

I remember being so upset about a banned book when I was in my 20s, something titled "The Tropic of Cancer." Don't remember the author's name, but just to show them they couldn't tell me what I could read, I ordered a copy. It was appalling, nasty. I wanted to burn it. Don't these folks realize they're just giving publicity and boosting sales of books they want to ban. Leave 'em alone and they'll go home, wagging their tails behind them.
