Re: Pat B,

I used to only make quick projects like hats and scarves, but lately have decided to invest more time in more dramatic projects! And this one is good for using up yarn remainders of many colors and textures.
I have not heard of ELSPETH but it brings to mind a European one with a really interesting autistic problem solver. ASTRID is the name, I think. Subtitles, but that's not a deal-breaker when it's a good show.

Re: BearcatMike,

Thanks for dropping by and dropping a line! Which world are you now gazing into?

Re: Kabu,

Ads are why I never watch regular TV. I'm also cutting back on the streaming services that are now giving a more expensice subscription as they bring ads to the cheaper ones.  I figure that any movie or show I really want to watch is worth $4 or so to rent, and that will be cheaper in the long run. But I will start the 30-day free trial of Hulu once the SHOGUN series is complete, to watch that.

I think your shire project is beyond my patience for a crochet challenge, but it sounds like a great background hanging for your imaginative displays and art. I used to love Monk. Don't know why they ever took it off the networks. They advertise a new program "Elspeth" which is a female detective patterned after the Monk character. Watched it once, and gave up before the end of the episode. Too much cute and not enough obvious to let this viewer follow what was going on. I did notice that Elspeth wears a lot of crocheted headgear and scarves, though.

Sounds like a worthy event.

Thanks for taking us on your journey. You have opened my eyes to another world. I like the way you incorporated the movie references. My wife and I used to be big Monk fans.  Have a good weekend.

we are still working through all the incredible library

of DVD's including series as well as movies. It is a lot of fun and the older they are the more we love them and will keep. Actually we don't send very much of anything to a place that will take them.So nice not to worry about adds all the time.
