Re: Re: Re: C_C_
I think I'd better go back to bed. I can't seem to do anything right. LOL. What I was going to say was that I love the thought of dolls giving you knowing looks.

Good Morning
At times I have struggled but I learned so much during those times. I learned how to live with very little and still be happy. I have to say some of my best recipes come from those days. I can feed many people with just a few ingredients and the food is delicious. My grandkids love those meals and little do they know they came out of necessity when I had to feed a large family. My grandparents had a farm and over the years their children came back to stay at times. I think that is the way it is going again. I have a few of my family members living with me and it's a plus for all of us. They can save money and still have a roof over their head during these trying times. I love having my family with me and I'm sure that's the way my grandparents felt too. I hope you have a good day.

My parents had nothing when they got married except land mortgaged to the hilt, a house half built and a Cow as a wedding present from Mother's parents.
The land grew prosperous and as wool and crops began to bring in good money, they gradually became more affluent. Never wealthy but comfortable. I have had some tough years and recently gave my sons what I did have, so they can have some great years. Money an Aunt left to me!

A lot of people these days do find themselves with less money in their bank accounts...I've had ups and downs, too.

I could afford toffee apples if I sold my garden. Years ago I bought my Mother dolls they were quite pretty. I was going to burn them when she died, but they gave me such knowing looks. I shoved them into a large cupboard. Somethings come alive in the memory. Take care.🌺🌺

Good morning
You win that bet for sure. Since we purchased our house in July of last year our bank account has dwindled, but I guess it goes with the territory.

You win that bet as far as I'm concerned. Never had a month go by as the kids were growing up when there was more month than money - we stretched, we looked for sales, we mended and patched. I think that's part of where my "Grandma Patch" nickname comes from. Even now, when I'm not living quite so "close to the bone" I stretch, look for sales
and ways to re-use things. What could it hurt?
