Well Taps I often hit the hay at 9pm. If I don't I fall asleep in the chair and that is a nuisance. I try to get up at 6an but it is usually nearer 7am. When I pull the curtains back downstairs I know the adopted stray cat will be sitting waiting for breakfast on the low wall outside. She gives me a plaintive look and runs round to the back door. Surprisingly she looks up for a stroke or two before eating.🌺 🌺

I do find there to be something soothing about overcast winter days...The alarm clock is a reminder of those days in the past.

Good Morning
Taps, I love having a free schedule to do whatever I want during the day. I spent so many years working and following a schedule, this is much nicer. I hope you have a wonderful day. It's freezing in the city this morning.

Good evening
I have that same issue when it comes to sleep. Sleep spurts are the worst, but I take what I can get.
A kinder schedule is what we all need for a healthier life.

Still, although I agree with you about enjoying the flexibility of our days, there are times I wish I could still run half a mile just for the fun of it. It would be nice to spend some time in the Pacific NW, alongside the forest where the air is super fresh after a rain.
