Good afternoon
You are an amazing writer. You summed this piece up beautifully. The critters have zero empathy for the labor that we humans put in to get the vegetables and fruit farm stand and dinner table ready. All they know is that they want some too. Perhaps the random seeds that they peck at and later drop along their paths are their way of saying thank you.
