Re: Good morning

I forgot to mention that I let my lasagna sit for 10-15 minutes before slicing into it. Cutting it straight out of the oven doesn't give it time to set up. Girl hug

Re: Pat_B, I find most chips to be too salty as well.

I never had an issue with salt until the COVID came around. Confused smile

Good morning

John loves lasagna. I make it every few months. The one thing that helps your lasagna from becoming soupy is to make sure that your lasagna noodles are well drained and patted dry before adding them to your choice of meat and red sauce. I make my sauce with diced garlic, onions, and Italian seasonings. I put my sauce and meat mixture in the bottom of a 13x9 baking dish, followed by the noodles, then a third of the cheese mixture, and repeat. The last layer is the sauce topped with mozzarella and parmesan cheese. I also add three layers of a mix of ricotta cheese, mozzarella cheese, parmesan cheese, egg, parsley, oregano, and red pepper flakes. Make sure not to use pre-shredded mozzarella cheese. It can cause moisture and it doesn't melt as well as cheese that you shred yourself. I bake my lasagna covered with aluminum foil for 30-35 minutes at 375, then I remove the foil and continue baking it for 15 more minutes. As for those jalapenos, I can't wait to plant my pepper plants this spring. Regular smile

I used to love stuffed green olives - but recently bought a jar of them. So salty I couldn't eat more than one. My BP would go through the roof if I ate many of them. Also had to give up potato chips, except for the lightly salted ones, and then just a few. Weird, isn't it, when a girl craves salt more than chocolate?  I hope your day is full of good things.
