The gypsies do tend to go overboard when it comes to decorating their grave sites, but then again, they go overboard when they are alive as well. They are boisterous and colorful people.

I cannot fathom why anyone would want a night light in a cemetery. Except perhaps at Halloween, when there could be various spooky shadows created. However, among all the strange things going on in the world at present, this idea seems harmless. You're right, the weather all over the world has been odd and a bit scary.

Canada had a very late start to real winter as well. I remember reading somewhere some time that England and parts of europe had two much warmer centuries between 1000 and 1200. Can't seem to find anything about that now.
