A giggle here - and like Sherri commented we all have those brain farts now and then. I have been driving since I was 16 (legally since I was 18😉). Automatic or standard transmissions, cars and trucks and motorcycles and tractors, even a huge transport truck - I am no stranger to vehicles. So when I came out of the shopping center and found my car would not start when I turned the key in the ignition, I was upset. I popped the hood to see if there was anything there I could do, but nope. The engine was not turning over-nothing was working. After multiple attempts and no result, I gave up and called my son at the garage where he works. He stopped, stepped away from his job, drove to come to help hiis mama in distress, of course. The first thing he did was get behind the wheel and turned the key, and I heard him say "Mother!!" in that 'you have to be kidding me' tone of voice. I leaned in and he pointed to the automatic transmission lever. It was still in drive mode. I had neglected to put it in park, so of course the car would not start!! Oops!! Took awhile before I lived that one down. Brain fart! At least you didn't bother anyone to come and help - as I did.

I have, do, am thinking about once a week house cleaning but definitely not live in. I like being alone too well.  For me living alone is not synonymous with being lonely.

I am sorry your day was spoiled in such a way. have you ever thought of having a companion or a house keeper to give you some help. I am learning how expensive everything is in this country but still. sometimes we just can't do it ourselves.

Sometimes it goes that way. I'll work hard to try to figure out a problem I created at the car wash only for someone to figure it out in a few seconds.

Never mind, I expect we all have done something that we Would not like to put on here.
Let me think, yes I picked up a tube of hemorrhoid cream and brushed my teeth with it.
Worst of all I clicked on the computer and Blogit came up. 🌺🌺
